A friend shared with me some delicious Jamaican Rum Punch recipes and of course, when I see a drink containing any Malibu rum flavor it is a must to share it with my readers.

Here are two recipes for Jamaican Rum Punch, one is made from a little more ingredients and the second one would be a little easier to be made, so let’s see those below. Serving is for 4 persons, we like having Malibu drinks in our friends’ company.

It all starts with 1 cup of coconut rum, 4 cups Bacardi 151 rum, 2 cups dark rum (you choose the label), 10 cups each for orange and pineapple juice, 1 and ½ cup lime juice, 14 tablespoons grenadine syrup and lots of ice cubes.

Get a punch bowl, throw all the ingredients and mix its. You can use any type of glass for this punch, pour the mix over ice cubes. Some say it can be consumed like it is, others say it should be chilled for at least 1 hour in the fridge before serving, thought not using ice cubes. I usually drink it as it is, garnishing with some pineapple slices.

The second Jamaican Rum Punch recipe contains 4 cups water, 1 cup lime, 3 cups strawberry syrup and 2 cups white rum. Does not sound like the above one, and for sure does not taste as well. Follow the same pattern with mixing ingredients, pour over ice cubes, garnish with a lime slice and enjoy.

What can I say more, you just have to try the Godiva Chocolate Martini with coconut rum and you will be simply amazed of its taste. It was a surprise from my beloved girlfriend and of course I wanted to share it with you.

For 1 person, here is the recipe for Godiva chocolate Martini with coconut rum: ½ oz Godiva chocolate liqueur, ¼ Malibu coconut rum, ½ Godiva white chocolate liqueur, ½ oz crème de cacao, ½ oz Vodka and 1 oz half and half (milk and cream in equal parts).

Pour all the ingredients in a shaker, add ice, mix them and serve into a cold cocktail glass. Simply delicious! But what about Godiva chocolate Martini calories, you might ask? WHO CARES when it is so damn tasty???

Enjoy this Godiva and Malibu rum cocktail, it was a quick one but really wanted to share with you fast!

Mojito with Malibu recipe is a delicious Cuban cocktail recipe I always serve my friends with when we are on a cocktails’ day. It is not so difficult to create it, below I will write the recipe for 4 persons serving.

First, we need 4 oz Malibu coconut rum, 4 oz club soda, mint (16 leaves), 4 sugar tablespoons and lime. All will be served in a highball glass. Crush the mint leaves inside each four glasses with a fork, no need to do this a lot while the flavor is released quite fast. Second, add the lime juice (you must also prepare some lime wedges, for garnishing) and the sugar and mix the ingredients. Now comes the freezing part! Add ice, but do not fill the glass; add 1 oz Malibu coconut rum in each glass and mix again.

Pour the club soda, stir well with a straw, garnish with the lime wedges I told you above and use some mint leaves as well. If you would like to make it in the traditional way, use spearmint instead of mint, I think it’s not so hard to find in local herbs shops.

This would be a great cocktail to serve with your friends, exactly like Ernest Hemingway was thinking, while Mojito was his favorite drink and he is one of my favorite writers.

Of course different cultures made their own Mojito variation, for example Mexican Mojito uses tequila instead of rum, have not tried it yet but it definitely sounds interesting. Also, it would be great to replace the sugar with brown sugar syrup and make a Dirty Mojito, but for now we’ll stick with the traditional Mojito with Malibu rum recipe. Maybe later….

Cocktail shakers are a must whether they are Boston shakers, cobbler shakers or Parisian shakers and choosing a cocktail shaker can be a difficult task! We talked a little about cocktails, how to make them, using the right ingredients to enjoy a great drink, however I ought to mention some words about one important tool when creating delicious cocktails, the cocktail shaker.

I could start talking a little about shakers’ history, but I doubt someone would be interested in this kind of information, but rather this post will answer questions like how many types of cocktails shakers are available, what material are they made of and so on. What would be a rum martini recipe without a cocktail shaker, right?

We mentioned above categories of cocktail shakers, let’s talk a little about each and any, but before, when buying a cocktail shaker the most important thing is to make sure it features plenty of room for all ingredients to be mixed with ice. It does not matter if the shaker is pink, well designed and so on, these are only a part of each person’s taste.

Ok, so the first and most used type of cocktail shaker is the cobbler shaker – traditional one. It is composed of three parts: a metal base, a top and a cap. Before using it one should remove the cap, add the ingredients for the drink, add the cap and “work”. However, this is mostly used in homes rather than in pubs and bars, due to its slow-roll.
On the other hand, a Boston shaker has a glass cup and a metal base. It is a must to use a bar strainer when using this kind of shaker while the resulted cocktail will be poured through it as a uniformed drink.

Why metal is most used for cocktail shakers? you might ask. Well, it’s logical: the metal chills the drink while it’s a great heat/cold conductor. However you might find plastic or glass cocktail shakers as well, I do not recommend those though.
For personal use, traditional cocktail shakers are best, you could choose a great deal from Amazon’s offers. There are literally tens of products to choose from for stainless steel cocktail shakers to silver cocktail shakers and even personalized cocktail shakers. Best cocktail shaker to choose? Though question: the one that suits one’s needs.

We all know how Acai Berry fruits look like, maybe not all of us know what are they good for, but how many folks know how to make an acai berry cocktail with Malibu rum?

Healthy life and acai berry are strictly related while this is probably the most healthiest fruit ever found. It contains an incredible amount of antioxidants and it is lately used by worldwide folks for weight loss, digestive track cleaning, cancer risk reducer, energy gains and many many others.
However, more people use it lately for creating a stunning Acai Berry cocktail with a flavor of coconut from our special drink, Malibu rum. Although it is considered to be a drink for high society, this does not mean folks trying to taste its flavors should not make one for them at home.
Here is a great Acai berry cocktail recipe for Brazilian Mama Acai: use a tall Hurricane glass for this recipe. As ingredients, we should use ½ oz Malibu Rum, ½ oz Banana Liqueur, orange and pineapple juice and, of course, acai berry roots. Mix the ingredients above and shake its well with ice; garnish with a banana or cherry; now you got a fresh, healthy Acai Berry cocktail to serve.

Is the Acai Berry the healthiest fruit available now? Might be, some say it is. Is Acai Berry cocktail with Malibu rum the healthiest cocktail someone can make? I doubt it, but just create one at home and taste it, it’s simply amazing. One word of advice though: best to check your Acai Berry supplier and beware of scams, lately lots of complaints have been heard.

Rum Martini is one of the most enjoyable cocktails I’ve ever had, however the past “gin and vermouth” mix is nothing more than an “oldies but goodies”. But as our blog is made around Malibu rum drinks, let’s try to sketch a recipe for Rum Martini, a variation made with Malibu rum. Also, let’s add more recipes for people to choose the one that fancy their tastes better, but all of these will have one thing in common: the Rum Martini cocktail should be well chilled before drinking it, as well as the glass in which you will serve the drink.

The easiest and oldest recipe is, as I was saying, 1 ½ oz rum and 1 ½ tsp dry vermouth. Fill have of a mixing glass with ice cubes, stir and pour into a cocktail glass. Garnish with an olive and serve cold.

The second Rum Martini recipe contains this time some orange bitters. 2 oz Malibu rum, ½ oz dry vermouth and 2 dashes orange bitters. Chill, pour into a chilled glass and serve garnished with an olive.

Here comes my favorite, the Caribbean Martini! This requires a little more preparation while you should get a cherry and moisten the glass’ edge, yummy! Use 1 oz vodka, 1 oz Malibu coconut rum, pineapple juice and mango puree. Blend the mix with ice, pour in the Martini glass moisten with the cherry, garnish it with a cherry and enjoy!

Our fourth Rum Martini cocktail comes under Almond Joy name, or at least I consider the Almond Joy a Martini, am I wrong? Use 3 oz Malibu rum, 1.5oz amaretto, 1oz kahlua ,1 oz chocolate liqueur and throw away some vodka above. Mix all the ingredients into a shaker with ice, stir into glasses and garnish with some nice chocolate syrup.

There are a few more Rum Martini recipes that I enjoy, made with Malibu coconut rum, however these four I consider the best a mouth can taste. Enjoy responsible, right?

Although my word must not be taken so serious, this post will reveal the top Malibu rum cocktails in the world, based of course on my taste and opinion. With hundreds, thousands even cocktails related to this drink it would be incredibly difficult to say “this is no.1” or “this is no. 10”, however here it comes below.
1. Malibu Sparkler cocktail – take those ingredients listed below; mix the Malibu rum with grapefruit juice, syrup and ice and shake its. Strain the mix into a champagne glass, mix with champagne and serve it garnished with a strawberry, or two. I consider this a ladies’ cocktail but hey, men can like it as well, does not sound gay at all, right?
• 1 oz Malibu rum
• 1 oz Ruby Red grapefruit juice
• Grenadine syrup
• For filling the glass, G.H. Mumm Champagne

2. The Malibu Island Blossom cocktail contains something that makes you drool all over the table – pre-marinated fresh fruit pieces with Malibu Passion Fruit rum and lime juice, delicious. It also needs one part pomegranate juice, ¼ parts simple syrup, 1 part orange juice, ½ parts Soho lychee liqueur and 2 parts Tezon Blanco tequilla. Mix the tequilla, syrup, pomegranate juice, orange juice and the liqueur with the pre-marinated fruit pieces in a mixing glass, pour the mix in a rocks glass over some ice and serve it in silence. Wonderful!

3. And now, on the 3rd spot, coming from the far away Islands of Pleasure (that exist only in my mind, of course), here is the Grinch cocktail. No, not the Grinch that stole the Christmas, but the Grinch that contains Malibu coconut rum, banana liqueur, melon liqueur and 7-Up soda. More exactly, not to mess the quantities, 1 oz from all the ingredients and 1 splash 7-Up soda. Mix its, pour over ice, wait, shake, strain, drink. Yummy!

4. The Little Green Frog cocktail I think can be found in this top Malibu rum cocktails because of its name, more then only its taste, sounds so kinky, right? This contains a little more Malibu rum, more exactly 6 oz of this fine drink, 8 oz melon liqueur, 6 oz banana liqueur and 2 qt lemon-lime mix. Use a large bowl to prepare the lemon-lime mix, add the other ingredients over it and pour over ice into a big glass.

5. Last, but not least, the Malibu Twister is to be listed. Use 2 parts Malibu coconut rum, 1 part cranberry juice and 2 parts orange juice. Pour the rum into a glass, add the orange juice and cranberry juice and mix.

While the summer is here, enjoy this fresh Malibu rum cocktails and chill in front of TV, while watching the final between Spain and Holland. Ummm….gooooo Spain!

This is how Tech N9ne is preparing a Caribou Lou cocktail. Enjoy! YO!

The long winter has gone, the Easter passed also. Is anybody else waiting for the summer to come? I know I am! With every single sun ray I see outside I start making summer holiday plans with beach, sun, swimming and all the joy that comes with this hot season.

Although we cannot do anything more than just waiting, sharing with best friends a fruity summer cocktail might get you all in the mood for vacation; why don’t you grab your glasses, have and toast and make some great plans together? This cocktail that I’m going to share with you is one of my favorites one, so take some notes if it’s music to your ears.

These are the main ingredients needed:

-         2 shots of Malibu Coconut Rum

-         1 shot of Pineapple juice

-         Coke

-         Pineapple and cherries for garnish the cocktail

Pour the rum shots into the glass, followed by pineapple juice, Coke and pineapple slices. You do not need to shake this one, just mix up with a spoon or a straw. Throw into play 2-3 cherries for decorating the glass and you’re done.

Sit back, enjoy and plan your money for the summer holiday! I call it: The summoner! :)
